Privacy policy KIA

Kristent Interkulturelt Arbeid (KIA) is a voluntary based member organisation working to improve the situation for refugees, asylum seekers and immigrants.

This privacy policy will inform you of how we handle personal data in KIA in order to execute our services towards members and other collaborators.

The Managing Director is responsible for handling personal information in the organisation, unless the task has been delegated. Inquiries for access to, corrections or deletion of personal data should be made by sending an e-mail to post@kianorge.no, or by calling 483 14 100.

Membership

When signing up for a membership we will be asking for information such as name, address, phone number, e-mail address and date of birth. We need this data from our members to offer adequate information related to the membership. If you decide to terminate your membership, the personal data gathered will be deleted.

Donors

From our donors, we will need name, address, phone number, e-mail address and social security number. This information is required in order to report tax deduction and to inform our donors about KIA. As a donor, you may terminate your relationship with KIA at any time by sending a written notification to post@kianorge.no.

E-mail

You are welcome to e-mail us but remember that all organisations are vulnerable to data theft. Sensitive information should not be sent by e-mail. In cases we receive such e-mail, we will treat the e-mail according to content and delete the e-mail immediately.

Newsletters

In case you would like to subscribe to our newsletter you will have to register your e-mail address with us. The e-mail address will be stored in our database. It will not be shared with 3rd parties and will be deleted when you unsubscribe.

Registration for courses and events

Through our web site, social media and newsletter, you will be able to sign up for courses and events. In this case we will be asking for information such as name and contact details in addition to allergies and need for facilitation. This information will not be used for other purposes than to administer the course/event. Sensitive personal information will be deleted after the course/event. We will gather consent in order to map your interest in receiving invitations for new events.

Non-sensitive personal information about participants will be stored for up to 10 years in connection with reporting to public authorities.

Data portability

You have the right to disclose your personal data and to re-use this information across different systems and services. Your right to data portability applies only if the information requested disclosed are gathered based on your consent or contract and are data you consciously or actively have given to KIA.

Applicants

If you are applying for a job at KIA, we will need to process your data in order to evaluate your application. All applications will be stored in our digital filing system while the hiring process is ongoing. As soon as the process is completed the data will be deleted. All other documents such as lists over applicants, positions and applications on management level will be stored.

3rd party

KIA does not sell information to 3rd parties. Personal data will only be transferred to 3 party for business purpose.
